Bishnupur Krittybash Mukherjee High School (formerly known as Bishnupur Town High School), P.O. Bishnupur, Dist. Bankura.
The school was recognized as Bishnupur Town High school in terms of Memo No 19635 dt. 30.12.1952 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
First grant received by the school w.e.f. 01.04.1954 in terms of Memo No. 106/133(iii)855HF, dt. 15.05.1956 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
The name Bishnupur Town High school changed to Bishnupur Krittybash .Mukherjee High School in terms of Memo Nos. 23288/G dt. 03.12.1958, 23714/G dt.09.12.1958 and 4363/G dt.02.03.1959 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
It was upgraded to a XI-Class school since 01.01.1962 in terms of Memo No 1313/ G dt. 22.01.1962 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
The school came under Salary Deficit Scheme since 01.05.1972 in terms of G.O. No. 343- Edn (s) dt. 03.03.1973.
It was reverted to a X-Class School since 01.01.1976.
Then it was upgraded to a XII-Class Higher Secondary School since 01.07.1979 in terms of Memo No. 1943/Secy/80.dt 25.02.1980 of West Bengal Council of H.S Education.
It was an aided school and not merely a DA getting one. It came under Grant-in-aid scheme since 01.01.1980 in terms of G.O. No. 197-Edn (S) dt. 14.03.1980.
It was converted to a Sponsored School in terms of Memo No. 4012/RMSA/SL/5S-264/12 dt. 30.09.2013 of the School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
